America Home Health Agency, INC. Punta Gorda, FL 33982 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and implementing appropriate nursing interventions. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ health status and needs. Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient assessments. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including injections and IV therapy. Perform specialized procedures such as cardiac catheterization, spinal taps, and dermal fillers when applicable. Utilize aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety during procedures. Monitor patients’ progress and adjust care plans as necessary. Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management. Document all nursing interventions accurately in compliance with ICD-10 coding standards. Collaborate with healthcare professionals in long-term care settings, hospice palliative medicine, and senior care environments. Stay informed about workers’ compensation law as it relates to patient care. Experience Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice. Previous experience in acute care, long-term care, or hospice settings is preferred. Familiarity with cardiac catheterization procedures and experience administering injections is highly desirable. Knowledge of ICD-10 coding is beneficial for accurate documentation. Experience with dermal fillers or spinal taps is a plus but not required. Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control practices. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
