Responsibilities Deliver professional nursing care in the operativesetting to patients undergoing surgical or other invasiveprocedures.

• Perform scrub functions including the selection andhandling of instruments and supplies used during procedure.
• Perform circulating functions including monitoring, recording, andcommunicating patient condition and managing overall nursing careof patient before, during and after procedure.
• Directly assistsoperating physician with surgical tasks including hemostasis,suturing, and wound exposure as well as patient positioning.
• Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment foruse.

Requirements Licensure / Certification /

Registration:

• Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hiredate or job transfer date required. American Heart Association orAmerican Red Cross accepted.
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month(30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. AmericanHeart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• RegisteredNurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained priorto hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• Diplomafrom an accredited school/college of nursing OR Requiredprofessional licensure at time of hire. Additional Preferences
