Responsibilities
Coordinate surgical services activities and tasks in support of patient care.
- Coordinate the clinical patient care of surgical services.
- Serve as a technical or functional resource for staff and perform similar patient care duties.
- Assign, monitor and review progress of work.
- Monitor and report compliance with policies and procedures.
- Coordinate shift operations including scheduling, assigned activities, and resources.
- Evaluate and oversee orientation and training of assigned associates.
- May provide input in the review and evaluation of staff performance.
- Oversee utilization and maintenance of supplies, instruments, and equipment.
Requirements
Licensure / Certification /
Registration:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American HeartAssociation or American Red Cross accepted.
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or jobtransfer date required.
Education:
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time ofhire.
Additional Preferences
RN with OR, Leadership and General Surgery Experience required
