Assistant Director of Nursing Job Description Position Summary:

The Clinical Support Nurse provides indirect nursing care for consumers residing in a group home setting. This role supports the clinical needs of consumers, ensures compliance with health regulations, and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team. This position does not include staff management.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor the health status of consumers and report concerns to the appropriate healthcare provider or supervisor. Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential medical records and documentation and ensure that the assigned group home remains in compliance. Assist with coordinating medical appointments, lab work, and transportation as needed. Educate, train and teach direct staff members on health-related tasks and individual health plans. Ensure proper storage, labeling, and disposal of medications and medical supplies. Observe infection control and universal precautions protocols. Support compliance with APD, DCF, OSHA, and FDOH requirements.

Supervision and Oversight:

Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards. Ensuing assigned homes are and remain in compliance for audits. Training and teaching staff team nurses regarding changes Conduct routine rounds at assigned group homes to monitor patient care and staff performance. -MUST

HAVE CAR
Clinical Duties:

Provide direct nursing care, including assessments, medication administration, and emergency response as needed Ensure accurate documentation in patient charts and care logs. Address any medical concerns or incidents during the shift.

Team Collaboration:

Communicate effectively with staff to ensure continuity of care. Provide feedback and mentorship to staff members as needed. Participate in team meetings and share observations for process improvement.

Administrative Duties:

Verify and document shift reports and incident reports accurately. Ensure proper inventory of medical supplies and equipment at group home locations. Review and update care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team. Ability to handle an emergency issue that arises and follow company protocol

Requirements:

Current LPN or RN license in the state of Florida. BLS certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross). Minimum of 2 years of lead, supervisor, shift or floor manager experience, preferably in a group home or similar setting (acute care). Strong leadership and supervisory skills. Experience handling on-call duties and responding to after-hours emergencies. Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills. Reliable transportation to travel between group homes as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

Expert experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities or mental health conditions, vents, trachs and feeding tubes. Knowledge of group home regulations and compliance standards is preferred but not required

Work Environment:

This role involves working in residential group homes, providing hands-on care and supervision to both staff and patients. Occasional travel between group homes is required. Pay rate/
