Position Type Full-Time Suncoast Hospice of Hillsborough, a member of Empath Health, is seeking a Senior Staff Nurse with experience in Home Care Home Base to join our team. Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 8:00 a.m
- 5:00 p.
m. Brandon Area, some travel required. Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
: Provides support and leadership in coordinating team functions in collaboration with and support of the Care Team Manager, including Quality Assessment Performance improvements, supervisory visits and other activities as appropriate.
An active, formal mentor and first line resource to the Nursing staff and a direct supervisor to the Hospice Aide staff on the Team, providing teaching, support and guidance.
Responsible for identifying and coordinating patient/family needs and for guiding staff to provide preventative and supportive care to terminally ill patients/families.
Position Requirements:
Education and/or
Experience:
Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Licensure:
o Valid Florida license as a Registered Nurse o Valid Florida State Driver’s License Continuing education: As required for licensure
Certifications:
o Valid CPR certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association Strong preference for at least one (1) year supervisory experience.
Strong preference for minimum of two (2) years Hospice experience.
For field-based positions, employees must have reliable transportation which will enable them to perform tasks and responsibilities in a timely and appropriate fashion.
