Fort Myers, FL Pay:
$30.25•48.22 per hour ($6/hr shift differential for Nights)
Expected Hours:
36 hours per week
Shifts:
Both days and nights available
Bonus:

Overview:
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Registered Nurse in our Progressive Care Unit (PCU). As a key member of our nursing staff, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to patients requiring intermediate-level monitoring and intervention. The PCU is dedicated to patients who are transitioning from intensive care but still require specialized attention. Responsibilities:
Patient Assessment and Monitoring:
Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients in the Progressive Care Unit. Utilize advanced monitoring equipment to track vital signs and interpret data for early detection of changes in patient condition. Implement and modify individualized care plans based on ongoing assessments.
Medication Administration:
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers. Monitor patients for potential side effects and adverse reactions, taking prompt and appropriate action.
Collaborative Care:
Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care. Communicate effectively with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
Patient Education:
Provide clear and concise education to patients and their families regarding their medical conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care. Foster a supportive environment that encourages patient and family involvement in care planning.
Quality Improvement:
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of evidence-based practices in the Progressive Care Unit. Stay informed about advancements in nursing practice and integrate best practices into daily patient care.
Emergency Response:
Respond effectively to emergencies within the Progressive Care Unit, demonstrating proficiency in advanced life support techniques. Maintain competence in code procedures and contribute to a culture of safety.
