Shipley What Youll Do:
As a Nurse Navigator, youll coordinate care for patients undergoing cardiac and thoracic surgery from initial diagnosis through post-treatment follow-up. Your role bridges communication between patients, families, providers, and hospital departments, ensuring timely, efficient, and compassionate care across the continuum. You will also serve as a resource for staff education and act as a liaison for the surgical team.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Guiding patients and families through complex care plans with clarity and compassion
Coordinating interdisciplinary communication and services to ensure continuity of care
Identifying educational needs and designing training content for clinical teams
Acting as a clinician, advocate, educator, and consultant to optimize outcomes and patient satisfaction
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Nursing Required
Registered Nurse License State of Florida Required
Minimum 3 years of Cardiac Surgery experience Required
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Windows-based systems We are dedicated to providing a caring and compassionate environment for our patients and our staff.
