Job Overview:
The Joint & Spine Care Coordinator/Clinical Leader (CCCL)serves as the day-to-day lead within the Orthopaedic Spine and Joint Replacement Center. Oversees the joint program including providing education and follow up with patients regarding their surgery.
General Responsibilities:
Performs LIS / computer operations and clerical functions as needed.
Coordinate the efforts between licensed practitioners, hospital administration and staff while tracking the progress and growth of the program, identifying areas that require improvement. The CCCL is responsible for program management, report generation and review in committees, performance improvement, patient experience, and administrative activities within the Center. Assists in coordination of various accreditations/certification programs with standards review, data collection, education.
The CCCL is responsible for assuring that applicable patient standards of care, practice/performance are delivered within the Joint and Spine Center. Develops implements and updates policies and procedures for the Joint and Spine Center as required. Educates staff as appropriate. Ensures that the Joint and Spine Center is compliant with regulatory standards of care. Functions as a liaison between the patient and medical staff. Demonstrates clinical expertise and assessment in the management of orthopedic patients. Actively contributes to the mission and success of the Joint and Spine Center through various activities. Assists the Director in providing optimal patient experience for all patients on the unit by reinforcing with staff utilization of evidence-based protocols and safety measures and verifying through nurse leader rounding.
The CCCL assists in planning and provision of direct and indirect nursing care to all patients, families, care partners and appropriate others on the nursing unit. Coordinates multidisciplinary team members to direct and facilitate care to achieve safe optimal health care outcomes. Oversees unit-based education including orientation, ongoing unit-based education and competencies, EMR education and participates in/assists with hospital wide education. Reinforces the concepts of Patient Centered Care to provide the foundation for all nursing care.

Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program. Bachelor’s Degree required.
MSN preferred. Minimum of 5-8 years of experience required. Management experience preferred. Current active Florida or Compact Nursing License. Current Advance Cardiac Life Support ACLS at start date. Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS at start date. Medical Surgical Certification Required at start date (any of the following): Medical-Surgical Nursing RN-BC American Nurses Credentialing Center Certified General Nursing Practice RN-BD American Nurses Credentialing Center Certified Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse CMSRN® Medical-Surgical Nursing Certification Board Medical-Surgical Registered RN-PC American Nurses Credentialing Orthopedic Nurse Certified ONC Orthopedic Nurses Certified Basic computer skills Proven working relationship with surgeons and other licensed practitioners. Experience with patient/staff education. Strong detail-orientation and follow-through capacity. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to multitask. Required Proficiency in typing, Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Power Point and an electronic medical record.
