Responsibilities About Manatee Memorial Hospital (MMH): ManateeMemorial Hospital in Bradenton, Florida, has served the citizens ofManatee, Sarasota and surrounding counties for over 70 years. Services include cardiac care and cardiovascularmedicine, emergency care for all ages, surgery services — includingrobotic-assisted surgery with the da Vinci® Surgical System, aweight-loss program, orthopedic services, outpatient and inpatientradiology and rehabilitation, respiratory care, sleep, oncology,wound care and women’s and children’s services. Manatee MemorialHospital also offers a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit forbabies with special needs. Reports to the Director of ICU and isunder the general supervision of the cardiothoracic surgeons, theattending Physician of Record. The nurse practitioner isresponsible for the development and evaluation of treatment plansfor inpatients. The Nurse Practitioner assists in the care andmanagement of CV surgery patients to include, but not limited to:admission history and physical, ongoing assessment, follow up, andintervention, with coordination of care for the cardiac inpatientpopulation. All essential functions performed in this positionreflect the age specific needs of the patient. Throughcollaborative agreements with all CV physicians, primaryresponsibilities include ordering, conducting, interpretingdiagnostic and laboratory tests, prescription of pharmacologicalagents and non-pharmacologic therapies. The nurse practitioner willprovide routine post procedure care to include but not limited toaccess site care, wound care, suture removal, coordinating andconducting pre-admission history and physical on all CV surgerypatients and structural heart consults. This includes CABG, AVR,MVR, TEER, TAVR, LAAO and other surgical therapies. Activelycontributes to the mission and success of the CV Surgical Centerthrough various activities. Job Information This opportunity is fora full-time days position as an ARNP with Cardiothoracic SurgeryMinimum 3-5 years recent Cardiac nursing related experience orHeart Valve and CV post-surgical management background preferredMaintaining continuing education credits per state regulationsDemonstrates clinical expertise and assessment in the management ofcardiac patients Exhibits outstanding interpersonal and leadershipskills to interact effectively with patients, families, physiciansand staff Proven ability to collaborate effectively, demonstrateeffectiveness as a team member and team facilitator Demonstratescompetency in use of Patient EMR, Microsoft Excel, MicrosoftPowerPoint, and Microsoft Word, etc. Ability to isolate problems,formulate solutions, and effectively facilitate/implement solutionsExceptional attention to detail. Graduate from an ANA accredited School of Nursing.
