Job Summary And QualificationsThe Nurse Externdelivers high quality, patient-centered care by performing avariety of delegated basic patient care services related to commonnursing functions and activities of daily living. Under thesupervision of the registered nurse (RN), the Nurse Extern assiststhe nursing staff in providing patient care in accordance with theNurse Extern’s skills/training and the needs of the Department, andconsistently assists the patient care team with maintaining aclean, well-organized, and safe patient care environment. The NurseExtern is currently enrolled and in good standing in an accreditedschool of nursing and can perform higher-level procedures oncecompetency is achieved. Currently enrolled and in good standing in the Galen College ofNursing program Required 1+ years of nursing school completed PreferredHCA East Florida Division encompasses 14 differenthospitals.
