Port, PIV, PICC, and Midline care; lab draws when needed; Infusions in the home such as: Antibiotics, Immunoglobulins, Alpha-1 Antitrypsins, Enzyme replacements, and more; teaching and training patients when needed such as with Antibiotics, SCIG Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse – Infusion to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care, particularly in infusion therapy, and will be committed to providing high-quality nursing services. This role involves working closely with patients to assess their needs, administer medications, and monitor their progress in a clinical setting. Duties Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and patient assessments to determine the appropriate infusion therapy. Administer intravenous (IV) medications and fluids according to established protocols. Perform venipuncture and manage central lines for infusion therapy. Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients. Maintain sterile processing techniques and ensure compliance with safety standards. Monitor patients for adverse reactions during infusion treatments and respond appropriately. Educate patients and families about infusion procedures, medication administration, and home community care options. Document all patient interactions, assessments, and treatments accurately in electronic health records (EHR). Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the department. Qualifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice. Experience in acute care settings, nursing homes, or Level I Trauma Centers is preferred. Proficiency in cardiac catheterization procedures is a plus. Strong skills in patient assessment and critical thinking. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment. Excellent communication skills and compassionate patient care approach. Familiarity with healthcare systems and electronic medical records is advantageous.
