Job Description
Infusion Nurse Specialist 3.5 3.5 out of 5 stars 2900 North Military Trail, Boca Raton, FL 33431 Responsible for assessing patient’s medical status before, during and after IV infusion. Responsible for in office infusions to patients under the care of the infectious disease Doctor. Work autonomously in caring for patients and their safety during medication IV infusion. Follow sterile procedure while insertion on IV catheters, and wound and PICC line care. Responsible for evaluating, verification and preparation of all medications. Use IV insertion experience and technique, PICC line and Port-A-Cath access and care, and sterile dressing changes with some wound care involvement. Assess patient’s current medical condition to determine whether or not patient was healthy enough for infusion and intervene in emergency situations, such as, allergic reactions and vital sign changes during and prior to infusion.
