The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care across various settings, including hospice palliative medicine and outpatient services. This role requires a blend of clinical expertise, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Duties Assess and monitor patient health by performing physical examinations and obtaining medical histories. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including spinal taps and CT scans when necessary. Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients, particularly those with developmental disabilities or requiring infant care. Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management, treatment options, and wellness strategies. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care for patients in various settings, including emergency medicine scenarios. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations. Stay informed about workers’ compensation law as it pertains to patient care and treatment. Skills Strong knowledge of hospice palliative medicine principles and practices. Experience in outpatient care settings is preferred. Familiarity with working with individuals who have developmental disabilities. Proficient in medical office procedures and protocols. Understanding of physiology relevant to patient assessment and care. Ability to perform specialized procedures such as spinal taps and CT imaging. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Critical thinking skills for problem-solving in emergency medicine situations.
