Local Contract RN Director Med Surg West PalmBeach, FL Schedule Full-time — Days (No Weekends) Job Summary The Director of the Medical Surgical Department directs andmanages the operations and activities of the Medical SurgicalDepartment and Contract Services provided in the Department. He/Sheis responsible for the overall management of the department’s dailyoperations to achieve quality improvement, fiscal, productivity,and patient satisfaction goals and objectives. He/She isresponsible for the staff performance and accomplishment ofdepartment responsibilities in accordance with corporate, hospital,department, and safety policies and procedures to meet both companyand regulatory requirements. The Nurse Director is responsible forproviding high-quality patient care to and acting as a liaison withpatients with their representatives, physicians, and employees.

He/She is responsible for the efficient operation of the departmentand optimum use of resources to maximize productivity and minimizecosts. The Director of the Medical Surgical Department assumes therole as a leader in planning, directing, and managing departmentsand staff to assure quality service on a 24-hour basis. The continuous assessment and improvement of the quality ofcare and service provided via the “HCA Patient Care Experience”process & program Daily Nurse Leader Rounding on Patients to manage the patient’sexpectations and experience Ensures care provided meets the quality and satisfaction needsof the patients Hardwire staff hourly rounding Manage Up and provide staff recognition Qualifications Current Florida license as Registered Nurse or RecognizedCompact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements,including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and durationprovisions) Bachelors Degree from an accredited School of Nursing Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification or mustbe obtained within 30 days of employment start date Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification ormust be obtained within 30 days of employment start date Current Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI) certification ormust be obtained within 30 days of employment start date Other-Fingerprint Required

EXPERIENCE or

STRONGMANAGERIAL MED SURG IN AN ACUTE CARE SETTING 5 YRS OR MORE
