Independent Contractor Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality primary and acute care to pediatric patients from infancy through adolescence Perform thorough assessments, diagnoses, and treatments for common pediatric conditions Conduct well-child visits, routine check-ups, immunizations, and developmental screenings Educate families on health maintenance and disease prevention Prescribe medications and manage chronic conditions in accordance with best practices Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care Maintain accurate and detailed electronic health records (EHR) Participate in clinic initiatives to enhance patient care and operational efficiency
Qualifications:
Master’s or Doctorate Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution Current, unrestricted Florida APRN license (Autonomous License preferred) Pediatric Nurse Practitioner certification (PNP-BC or
PPCNP-BC
) Active Florida prescribing license with DEA registration BLS (Basic Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications At least 2 years of clinical experience in pediatrics preferred Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Passion for working with children and their families Bilingual- Spanish speakers (preferred) Must be able to pass level two background check
Preferred Experience:
Minimum 2 years in Pediatrics Primary Care, Family Medicine, Primary Care, or Urgent Care. Telehealth experience and ability to treat patients of all age groups. Familiarity with EMR systems, e-prescription platforms, and tools like Google Workspace, Excel, and Zoom.
