Port, PIV, PICC, and Midline care; lab draws when needed; Infusions in the home such as: Antibiotics, Immunoglobulins, Alpha-1 Antitrypsins, Enzyme replacements, and more; teaching and training patients when needed such as with Antibiotics, SCIG Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse – Infusion to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality infusion therapy to patients in various settings. You will work closely with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective medication administration while monitoring patient responses and outcomes. Responsibilities Administer intravenous medications and therapies as prescribed by physicians. Monitor patients during infusion treatments, assessing vital signs and overall health status. Educate patients and their families about infusion procedures, medication side effects, and care plans. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans. Maintain accurate documentation of patient care, including medication administration records and assessments. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control measures during all procedures. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care outcomes. Skills The ideal candidate will possess the following skills: Proficiency in Emergency medicine and Airway management. Experience with Medication administration in various settings including Home care and Hospital medicine. Knowledge of Infectious disease care protocols and practices. Familiarity with ICD-10 coding for accurate documentation. Ability to work effectively in an Operating Room (OR) environment as well as manage cases in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Critical thinking skills for assessing patient needs and responding appropriately to emergencies.
