Job Summary andQualifications We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join ourMed/Surg/Progressive Care Float Pool. You will provide clinicalexpertise to ensure all patients receive high-quality, efficientcare in our medical-surgical & telemetry/progressive careenvironments. What you will do in this role: You will assess, plan, intervene,and evaluate the care of Med/Surg, Telemetry, and Progressive Carelevel patients. You will instruct patients and families regardingmedications and treatment instructions You will maintain and reviewpatients’ records including posting tests and examination results.

You will administer medications in accordance with physicianorders.

What qualifications you will need:

Must be licensed as aFlorida Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations orappropriate compact licensure. If a compact license is held, anactive FL RN license is required within 60 days of hire. NursingDiploma or ASN required; BSN preferred. Previous experience in anacute care setting is strongly preferred. Current American HeartAssociation BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.

Current American Heart Association ACLS (Advanced Cardiac LifeSupport) certification required (6-month grace period given fromhire date). Current NIHSS (National Institute of Health StrokeScale) required (6 months grace period given from hire date).Critical Care Registered Nurse Acute/Adult (CCRN), CertifiedOrthopedic Nurse (ONC), Progressive Care Nursing Administrator(PCCN), Board Certified Cardiac / Vascular Nurse, Board CertifiedMedical-Surgical Registered Nurse, or Certified Medical-SurgicalRegistered Nurse (CMSRN) Critical thinking, service excellence, andgood interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehendwritten instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PCskills HCA Florida Sarasota Doctors Hospital is located in SarasotaCounty, FL.
