PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION
To plan, organize and direct the MDS process in accordance with federal and state standards, guidelines, and regulation that govern our facility. Maintains a liaison with the residents, their families, support documentation, etc., to adequately plan for the needs of the residents.
Job duties include the following:
Maintain and update schedules of MDS’s. Coordinate the work of the Interdisciplinary Team to complete the MDS, Enter or supervise input of MDS into the computer. Serve as the leader of the MDS and care plan meeting. Supervise and/or lock and transmit MDS data to the State. Assure that
MDS, RAI
process and Care plans are completed and transmitted timely. Assist in audits, denials and ADRs as requested by CES. Keep and monitor RUG’s worksheet for Medicare residents. Any other duties as assigned by the Administrator and/or Director of Nursing.
