Job Description:

Bedrock Rehabilitation and Nursing Center at Suwannee is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Wound Care Nurse to join our team. In this full-time role, you will collaborate with our interdisciplinary team (IDT) to deliver high-quality, resident-centered wound care. Your expertise will play a key role in improving outcomes and enhancing quality of life for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the IDT to plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans. Assist with sections of the Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessments as needed. Review and revise wound and skin care policies and procedures. Report any suspected fraud, abuse, or waste to the Administrator or designee. Assess, manage, and treat various wound types including pressure ulcers, surgical wounds, traumatic injuries, burns, and ostomies. Identify risk factors for pressure ulcers and secondary infections and help implement preventive strategies. Conduct regular skin assessments and assist with wound-related pain management. Educate residents and families on wound care plans and treatments in a clear, compassionate manner. Evaluate nutritional needs for wound healing and recommend appropriate interventions. Advise the team on suitable wound care products, dressings, therapies, and devices.

Qualifications:

Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida. Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience; wound care experience strongly preferred.
