August 2025 Responsibilities Oversees the Exceptional Student Education staffing process at the school. Convenes in school staffing meetings and problem solving meetings to assist teachers with interventions and the Multi Tier System of Support (MTSS) process. Reviews cases in preparation for determining eligibility for ESE services. Develops and reviews Team Analysis of Data Reports (TADs) for all ESE eligibility and ineligibility staffings. Provides leadership and support services to in-school staffing participants and school problem solving teams. Acts as the liaison between the school and the district Staffing Specialist. Convenes meetings with parents, administrators and teachers to make eligibility recommendations and obtain parent permission for ESE evaluations. Conducts annual ESE audit on all ESE program files to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Assists ESE personnel (ESE teacher and gifted teacher) with issues regarding Individual Education Plans (IEPs), Educational Plans (EPs), assessments and matrix of service plans. Monitors ESE procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Works with basic education teachers, ESE teacher, gifted teacher, and district student services personnel (staffing specialist, school psychologist, school nurse, school social worker, occupational therapist, and physical therapist) to resolve concerns regarding the unique educational needs of each student. Prepares a wide variety of ESE written materials, reports, and forms (in school staffing logs, school based intervention team (SBIT) boards, parent/teacher/district personnel correspondence, request for student service forms, parent consent for evaluations, Team Analysis of Data reports, required documentation, etc.) for the purpose of documenting interventions and data, providing written reference, preparing for ESE evaluations, and conveying information. Provides school ESE team and administrative staff with updated information and best practices and procedures. Provides information to parents on the McKay scholarship program, 504 plans, ESE Procedural Safeguards, ESE referral and eligibility requirements, gifted referral process, etc. Coordinates and convenes meetings with parents, school personnel, district staffing specialist, and district student service team to address parent requests for evaluations. Implements the gifted referral, screening, and evaluation process from identification to placement. Conducts gifted referrals, screenings, and in-school staffings with teachers and school psychologist. Administers standardized gifted screening instrument for the purpose of screening and identifying gifted students. Prepares gifted written materials and forms (referral letters, screening letters, gifted referral packets, gifted characteristic checklists, in school staffing forms, parent consent for evaluations, request for student services forms, etc.) for the purpose of gathering data, documenting information, providing written reference, and conveying information to teachers, administration, school psychologist, and district staffing specialist. Responds to inquiries (parents, teachers, staff, students, district personnel, etc.) for the purpose of providing ESE information and referrals as appropriate. Participates in district meetings and trainings for the purpose of conveying and gathering up-to-date ESE information. Schedules, coordinates, and conducts meetings with parents of incoming ESE students, ESE team, and administration to ensure seamless articulation of ESE services. Provides data entry personnel data entry forms for initial ESE eligibility and services. Reviews ESE Roster from TERMS to ensure accuracy and compliance of data entry for all ESE students prior to FTE periods. Coordinates PEER updates with district Information Technology personnel. Develops and maintains an ESE Accessibility Log at each school campus to provide easy accessibility of IEPs, present levels of performance, and IEP goals to basic education teachers, arts enhancement teachers, and administration. Serves as the district ESE articulation designee for the school to coordinate articulation of ESE students between prekindergarten and kindergarten, elementary to middle school, and middle school to high school within the district. Implements the Hospital/Homebound referral and evaluation process from identification to placement. Conducts Hospital/Homebound referrals, in-school staffing, and eligibility staffings with basic education teachers, Hospital/Homebound teachers, administration, district staffing coordinator, and school nurse. Prepares Hospital/Homebound written materials, reports, and forms (in school staffing forms, parent consent for evaluations, request for student services forms, Hospital/Homebound instructor compliance agreements, Homebound medical reports, IEPs, Hospital/Homebound logs, data entry forms, etc.) for the purpose of gathering data, documenting information, providing written reference, determining eligibility, and conveying information to teachers, administration, school nurse, and district staffing specialist.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

All employees must be fingerprinted and pass a background screening process by the District School Board of Pasco County, per Florida statute 1012.465 and 1012.56. Bachelor’s degree Applicants must have valid FLDOE teaching certificate in field or current Statement of Eligibility issued by FLDOE. Recent college graduates may apply without having either document, but will be required to apply for initial certification prior to being offered a position.

Graduate work beyond the bachelor’s degree. Classroom teaching experience.
