The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care. This role involves administering infusions, monitoring patient responses, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal treatment outcomes. Responsibilities Administer intravenous (IV) medications and infusions as prescribed by the physician. Monitor patients for adverse reactions and manage infusion-related complications. Educate patients and their families on infusion therapy, including potential side effects and care instructions. Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and progress in the electronic health record (Epic). Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans based on diagnostic evaluations. Implement infection control protocols to ensure patient safety during infusion procedures. Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to infusion services. Provide support for patients with behavioral health needs as necessary. Qualifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing. Experience in infusion therapy or related nursing specialty preferred. Familiarity with mammography procedures is a plus. Knowledge of infection control practices and regulations is essential. Experience in long-term care settings is advantageous. Proficiency in diagnostic evaluation techniques and gastric lavage procedures is preferred. Ability to provide toddler care when necessary, ensuring age-appropriate interventions. Understanding of operating room (OR) protocols is beneficial. Knowledge of workers’ compensation law is a plus but not required.
