Know Your Team:
– UT Health Athens is a 127-bed facility, including a 24-hour ED,designated as a Level IV trauma center and Level III stroke center;advanced diagnostic technology; 10-bed ICU; maternity unitradiation therapy center; and a stand-alone ED in Gun BarrelCity. Responsibilities Coordinates and administers care to a unit specific patientpopulation utilizing a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach toensure that each patient receives nursing care appropriate tohis/her illness or condition. Provides clinical supervision to the clinical, professional, andauxiliary staff to ensure the continuous delivery of qualitypatient care. Works cooperatively with appropriate medical staff to ensureaccomplishment of hospital and departmental goals. Manages departmental -activities in accordance with hospital anddepartmental policy and ensures that care is delivered consistentwith physician orders and treatment protocols. Oversees the implementation of a plan of care appropriate to eachpatient’s needs.
Qualifications Job Requirements:
Degree as a Registered Nurse from an accredited school ofprofessional nursing Current Texas Licensure as a Licensed Vocational Nurse Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) required Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months ofemployment
