$48 13 weeks contract. 07/07 start date Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for our Medical/Surgical unit. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, demonstrating clinical expertise and a commitment to patient-centered practices. This role involves working closely with patients recovering from surgery or managing chronic illnesses, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout their hospital stay. Responsibilities Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, adhering to aseptic techniques. Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes in condition to the medical team promptly. Perform various nursing procedures including spinal taps and critical care interventions as necessary. Educate patients and their families about health management, discharge instructions, and follow-up care. Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with ICD-10 coding standards. Provide support in behavioral health situations, ensuring a safe environment for all patients. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans for patients in nursing homes or hospice palliative medicine settings. Requirements Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice. Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to medical/surgical nursing. Experience in critical care or surgical nursing preferred but not required. Familiarity with aseptic techniques and infection control protocols is essential. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment. Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining a compassionate approach to patient care. Previous experience in hospice palliative medicine or behavioral health is a plus but not mandatory.
