Job Summary And QualificationsMother Baby NurseRegisteredNurses (RNs) provide and coordinate patient care, educate patientsand the public about various health conditions, and provide adviceand emotional support to patients and their family members. RNsmust use independent and considerable judgment in providing a widevariety of services. As directed by a physician, RNs also givepatients medicines and treatmentsWhat you will do in this role: You will monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes inpatients’ conditions. Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records. You will record patients’ medical information and vitalsigns. You will order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests toidentify and assess patient’s condition. You will modify patient treatment plans as indicated bypatients’ responses and conditions. You will direct or supervise less-skilled nursing or healthcarepersonnel or supervise a particular unit. You will consult and coordinate with healthcare team members toassess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans. You will monitor all aspects of patient care, including dietand physical activity. You will provide care – demonstrating competency in the care ofthe postpartum and newborn patient population. You will prepare patients for and assist with examinations ortreatments. You will provide education to patient related to self care andnewborn care. You will provide education to patient on dischargeinstructions.
