The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality infusion therapy to patients in various settings, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process. This role requires a strong background in nursing, particularly in areas such as geriatrics, pediatrics, and pain management. The Registered Nurse will collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans. Responsibilities Administer intravenous medications and therapies as prescribed by physicians. Monitor patients for adverse reactions during infusion therapy and respond appropriately. Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ health status, including vital signs and medical history. Provide education to patients and families regarding treatment plans, medication administration, and self-care techniques. Perform specimen collection processing as needed for laboratory tests. Assist in pain management strategies for patients undergoing treatment. Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities in compliance with healthcare regulations. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care delivery. Participate in ongoing professional development and training related to infusion practices. Qualifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing. Experience in infusion therapy or related nursing fields preferred. Knowledge of geriatrics, pediatrics, long-term care, home community care, and infant care is highly desirable. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications such as Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) are a plus. Proficient in performing spinal taps and other necessary procedures. Strong communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively. Ability to lift and assist patients as needed during treatment procedures. Commitment to providing compassionate care and maintaining patient dignity.
