Job Summary AndQualificationsThe RN is responsible for decisions and actionswithin the domain of nursing practice. Important aspects of thisresponsibility are the promotion of a safe and therapeuticenvironment for both the recipients and providers of nursing care;acquisition of specialized knowledge skills and additional formaleducation to provide specialized care; demonstration and validationof competence in nursing practice; clinical practice consistentwith the policies, procedures and standards of this facility; andsupervision of other staff as designated within the departmentWhatqualifications you will need: Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days ofemployment start date Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days ofemployment start date Texas State RN license or compact license required ADN required; BSN preferred Specialty Certification Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) ispreferred. Must successfully complete AWHONN Intermediate Fetal HeartMonitoring Course within 1 year of hire or provide documentation ofcompletion of the AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Course orthe AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring Course. 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experiencepreferred.
