Description7:30am – 4pm/ Full Time/ 40 HoursWe are seeking acapable Registered Nurse / RN who has acquired broad experience incaring for patients, and has developed a sound understanding aboutthe care of a particular patient population. Capable clinician who has acquired broad experience in caringfor patients, and has developed a sound understanding about thecare of a particular patient population. Routinely uses acquired knowledge, theory, research andexperience to respond to changes in clinical situations. Is able toapply the Synergy Model for Care in practice, and use thisknowledge to personalize care for eachpatient/family. Serves as a resource to colleagues and strong advocate forpatients/families. Consistently communicates effectively and respectfully with thepatient, the patient’s family, and other members of the healthcareteam. Delivers safe, dependable and effective care to a patientpopulation independently utilizing the nursing process. Demonstrates developed assessment skills. Recognizes the impactof nursing care on patient outcomes. Continues to recognize ownperformance limitations, but requires minimal assistance. Documents the nursing process accurately and in the appropriateformat (e.g. computer, clinical pathway, chart). Plans and implements patient care independently. Utilizespatient/family input and goals in planning plan of care. Evaluates patient’s response to planned care and adjusts planof care as appropriate. Identifies patient and family learning needs and makesrecommendations to resources regarding those needs. Incorporates AACN Synergy Model into clinical practice. Functions as Charge Nurse when assigned. Orients staff orstudents as assigned in absence of designated preceptor.
MinimumQualifications Graduate of an accredited prelicensure Bachelor of Science inNursing (BSN), AND A. 12 months of recent nursing experience withinthe past five years, OR B. Recent completion of a re-entry nursingprogram. OR, 2. Graduate of an accredited prelicensure AssociateDegree in Nursing with a minimum of 2 years of recent nursingexperience within the past five years. •
Exceptions:
1. •CurrentLPNs employed within the Emory Healthcare (EHC) system who havecompleted an accredited RN program and obtain RN licensure areeligible to transition into this role while completing the RNResident Program. 2. Emory LPNs enrolled in an Emory ADN program asof 3/30/2025 must sign an obligation agreement to complete anADN-to-BSN program within two years of entering the RN Clinicianrole. A valid, unencumbered Registered Nursing License approved bythe Georgia Board of Nursing. BLS certification required and ACLS may be required for certaindepartments, post hire. Additional certifications may be required based on departmentand specialty.
