Infection Control/Weekend Admission Nurse 3.9 3.9 out of 5 stars 2775 Castleberry Road, Cumming, GA 30040 We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Infection Preventionist/Weekend Admission Nurse to join us in our dynamic and supportive environment. The Infection Preventionist is responsible to assess, plan, organize, implement, evaluate, and coordinate the center Staff Development Program, performs clinical tasks, and assists in other departments.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities of Infection Preventionist:

Conducts new employee orientation and coordinates competency completion. Ensures for or delivers annual mandatory and continuous education for staff using internal or external resources according to state and federal regulations and company policy. Coordinates employee health program (immunizations, flu shots, physical exams, etc.) Monitors and ensures current licensure and certifications of facility staff. Maintains employee education, training and health files. May assist in the screening and hiring of nursing staff. Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations. Conducting regular rounds in facility departments for discussing, monitoring and following the practices of infection control with staff people. Collecting data on infections from facility departments and maintaining records for every case. Conducting training sessions to ensure constant implementation of infection control practices. Monitoring the execution of preventive measures and providing guidance to staff.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Knowledge of learning principles and training techniques. Skilled in developing and conducting training programs. Skilled in work assessment. Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their family members, and at all levels of the organization. Knowledge of state and federal requirements for accreditation and certification.
