Position Summary:
The staff Nurse is an integral part of the Radiology team. Provides continuous quality Nursing care to both inpatients and outpatients in the department of Radiology. Performs established procedures in accordance with nursing and hospital policies, nursing standards and physician orders. The nurse will assess, identify needs, plan, and implement appropriate interventions document and evaluate outcomes. The nurse should be qualified and prepared to handle all unexpected emergencies that could occur during any radiological procedure. Demonstrate leadership skills in maintaining standards of care, direction of health care personnel and achievement objectives of the Radiology department. II.
Qualifications:
A.
Education & Training:
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. B.
Experience:
Minimum of three (3) years nursing experience. Residency or Fellowship programs may apply depending on department and experience. C.
Required Certification/Registration/Licensure:
Current US state RN license with authorization to practice in the state of GA. Current
AHA/ARC BLS
certification. Current
AHA ACLS/ARC
ALS and
AHA/ARC PALS
certification or obtained within nine (9) months of hire. D.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Utilizes a variety of standard Radiology equipment and nursing equipment and supplies.
