Until Filled Job Summary Performs student health procedures and assists students with administration of medication as necessary. Conducts and/or coordinates school health services program, including screenings, assessment of immunization status, and tests for hearing and vision, as appropriate. Minimum Qualifications Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia CPR and First Aid Certification Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff Preferred Qualifications Experience in pediatric, public health, or school nursing Knowledge of state laws and regulations regarding school health services Employment Terms 190 day work calendar Annual Salary based on credentials and years of experience in the nursing field

Annual Salary Range:

$31,379 – $51,518 ($20.40 – $33.89 per hour) Working Conditions Work is primarily performed in person in a school health clinic and classroom settings ?Frequent standing, walking, and sitting are required May be exposed to communicable diseases and bodily fluids Must be able to respond quickly to medical emergencies throughout the school campus Occasional lifting and carrying of supplies or students may be required Follows standard school calendar and schedule, Monday through Friday, during school hours Occassional after-school hours may be required for school events or meetings Must be able to handle emotionsl situations and sensitive conversations regarding student health and family circumstances Required to handle confidential information and comply with HIPAA and FERPA regulations
