Responsibilities Responsible for patient care within an assigned department/unit andparticipates as a member of the health care team in cooperationwith and under the direction of the clinical manager or designee asdefined by the relevant Standards and Scope of Practice for theRegistered Nurse. The RN Staff Nurse assesses, analyzes, plans,implements and evaluates patient care following established patientcare standards for Legacy Health System including those for patientassessment and transfer.
Qualifications Education:
As required by licensure. BSN or degree in progressstrongly preferred. BSN may be required for specific assignments;experienced RNs without a BSN may be hired based on clinicalexperience with approval of the site CNO. ExperienceOne-year registered nursing experience or completion ofeither the Legacy Health RN Residency program or a nursing programthat is equivalent in content, curriculum and duration. Additionalclinical experience requirements may vary dependent upon thespecific department in which the position is utilized. Two years of OR RN experience required; ability to scrubpreferred. Must be available to meet the 30-minute call time. Call schedule will be every 5th weekend 7AM Sat – 7 AMMonday 3 week nights every 6 weeks 11PM – 7AM Knowledge/Skills Demonstrated ability of positive interpersonal andcommunication skills with colleagues, patients, families,physicians and the community.
