Port, PIV, PICC, and Midline care; lab draws when needed; Infusions in the home such as: Antibiotics, Immunoglobulins, Alpha-1 Antitrypsins, Enzyme replacements, and more; teaching and training patients when needed such as with Antibiotics, SCIG Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse – Infusion to join our healthcare team. This role is essential in providing high-quality infusion therapy to patients, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the treatment process. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in nursing with experience in various care settings, including senior care, acute care, and urgent care. Responsibilities Administer intravenous (IV) infusions and monitor patients for adverse reactions or complications. Maintain aseptic technique while preparing and administering medications. Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans. Document patient information accurately in electronic health records, preferably using Cerner. Educate patients and their families about infusion therapy, potential side effects, and aftercare. Provide support to patients in memory care and those requiring specialized attention during treatment. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and care standards. Skills Proficient in IV infusion techniques and aseptic practices. Experience in senior care, acute care, urgent care, or pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) settings is highly desirable. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams. Ability to assess patient conditions and respond promptly to changes in health status. Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly Cerner. Compassionate approach towards patient care with a focus on comfort and emotional support.
