Nursing Full Job Description Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dedicated medical unit team. The RN-Med will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, administering medications, monitoring patient conditions, collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our patients.

Responsibilities:

Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient needs. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, adhering to all safety protocols. Monitor and record patients’ vital signs, symptoms, and responses to treatment. Perform various medical procedures, such as wound care, catheterization, and medication administration via different routes. Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, nursing assistants, and other healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care. Develop and implement individualized patient care plans in accordance with established policies and procedures. Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and self-care techniques. Maintain accurate and timely patient records using electronic health record (EHR) systems. Respond to medical emergencies and initiate appropriate interventions. Advocate for patient rights and ensure patient comfort and safety. Participate in unit meetings, in-service education, and quality improvement initiatives. Adhere to all hospital/clinic policies, procedures, and professional standards of nursing practice.

Qualifications:

Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Valid and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of [State]. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. [Include any specific certifications preferred, e.g., ACLS]. Proven experience in a medical unit or a similar acute care setting preferred.
