Duties:
  • Provide direct patient care, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician
  • Monitor and document patient’s condition and notify appropriate personnel of any changes
  • Coordinate, administer, and manage sedation techniques for surgical cases
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Educate patients and their families on disease processes, treatment plans, and self-care techniques
  • Maintain accurate and complete medical records using electronic health record
  • Adhere to all Clinic policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure patient safety and confidentiality
Qualifications:
  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of sedation-nursing experience in a hospital, OBL, or ambulatory surgery center setting
  • Proficient in using EMR, (Epic experience preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and ability to interpret physician orders
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of workers compensation laws and regulations related to nursing practice
Skills:
  • Experience in medication administration, including IV and sedation.
  • Knowledge of emergency treatment protocols
