Role:

We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) with at least 2 years of recent L&D experience and prior travel nursing experience for a dynamic, high-volume birthing center. This facility averages 150-200 births per month and provides comprehensive care from high-risk to routine OB cases.

Unit Overview:

Beds:

12 Labor Beds, 5 Antepartum Beds, 6-Bed OB Emergency Room, 2

ORs Certifications Required:

BLS, ACLS, NRP, Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring (EFM)

Common Procedures:

C-sections, cerclages, tubal ligations

Support Services:

OB hospitalist and neonatologist on-site 24/7 RT and Pharmacy 24/7 OR Techs act as OB techs•scrub for c-sections, assist with deliveries, and unit stocking Lactation consultants on-site

Staffing Ratios:

Follow AWHONN guidelines

Charting System:

Meditech;

FHM:

OB TraceVue Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of L&D experience (REQUIRED) Prior Travel Nurse Experience (REQUIRED•no first-time travelers) Must be confident with high-acuity OB patients Comfortable floating to Post-Partum as needed Available to work every other weekend and rotating holidays Completion of 2-shift orientation provided
