Job Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join the MedicalIntensive Care Unit (MICU) at a well-established acute care hospital in Albany, Georgia. The MICU cares for critically ill adult patients requiring intensive monitoring, ventilator support, and complex IV medication management. This unit also serves as the facility’s designated COVID-positive care area. This role is best suited for RNs with strong critical care experience, sound clinical judgment, and the ability to remain focused and efficient in high-acuity settings.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality nursing care to critically ill adult patients in the MICU Administer and titrate IV medications, including vasopressors, sedatives, and other critical care drugs Monitor and manage ventilator settings; collaborate with respiratory therapists Assess vital signs, lab results, and diagnostic data to support treatment decisions Develop, implement, and revise individualized care plans based on patient needs Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and initiate emergency interventions when needed Document assessments, medications, and treatments accurately using

Work closely with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare team members Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols, especially within the COVID-positive environment Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families as appropriate.
