C.N.A. Part Time shifts Position Available In Calcasieu, Louisiana

Job Description:

Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse/licensedNurse, this position will assist with routine and repetitivepatient care activities in a nursing unit. This position alsoperforms specific clerical, organizational, and patient-focusedactivities. Completes pertinent documents.

• Assures that allpatient belongings accompany the patient to the new unit or home attime of discharge.
• Cleans, procures and returns equipment andsupplies.
• Run errands for the unit as required.
• replenishpatient room with water, linen, and towels, as appropriate.
• Perform unit-specific patient care tasks in accordance with theskills checklist and documents on the flowsheet.
• Identifyobvious changes in the patient’s condition and take responsibilityfor reporting those changes promptly to the nurse in charge.
• Assist with the ordering and maintenance of stock items accordingto established inventory when needed.
• Keeps unit supplies in anorganized and orderly fashion.
• Communicate effectively withother team members during and between shifts.
• Responds to phonecalls and patient call lights.
• Appropriately adapt assignedpatient assessment, treatment, and/or care methods to accommodatethe unique physical, psychosocial, cultural, age-specific, andother developmental needs of each patient served.
• Demonstratescompetence to perform assigned patient care responsibilities in amanner that meets the population-specific and developmental needsof patients served by the department.

All newly hired NursingSupport Staff may be required to attend a facility-specificclinical orientation within the first 30 days of hire. New hiresare precepted by a designated trained staff member and initialon-boarding requirements are validated through successfulcompletion of the designated organizational entry competencyvalidation and a MedSurg Department

• specific competencyvalidation.

Experience Patient care experience in an acute caresetting is preferred. Licenses, Registrations, or CertificationsCNA License in state of employment required.
