The competent Nurse, in the same or similarclinical setting, practices independently and demonstrates anawareness of all relevant aspects of a situation. Provides routineand complex care, with the ability to on long-range goals or plans.

Continues to develop the ability to cope with and managecontingencies of clinical nursing. Makes appropriate assignmentsand delegates to other care providers as a means to help manage theclinical situation. Consistent with the ANA Scope and Standards ofPractice, provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process,including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention andevaluation for assigned patients. Documents patient history,symptoms, medication, and care given. Assess learning needs andprovides education to patients, family members and/or care givers;

JobRequirements:

Education/Skills Bachelor of Science Degree inNursing, preferred Experience 1 year of experience in the relatednursing specialty preferred Licenses, Registrations, orCertifications BLS required RN License in state of employment orcompact

Position Requirements:

New hires are precepted by adesignated trained staff member and initial on-boardingrequirements are validated through successful completion of thedesignated organizational entry competency validation and aPerinatal Department -specific competency validation. ExperiencePerinatal RN Residency, or recently practicing in a PerinatalSetting is preferred. Licenses, Registrations, or CertificationsCurrent certification from NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM)or one of the following AWHONN courses: For new graduates andexperienced nurses new to the specialty, certification must beobtained within 4 months of hire and maintained thereafter. within90 days of hire for new graduates then required to maintaincertification thereafter. within 60 days for new graduates andexperienced nurses new to the specialty then required to maintaincertification thereafter.
