• Current registered nurse (RN) license instate of practice. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationfrom the American Heart Association. Crisis Prevention Institute(CPI) Certification
• 12 month Blue Card Certification in AdvancedCardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Pediatric Advanced Life Support(PALS) Preferred
• Certification in clinical specialty area. KSAs
• Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-basedapplications.
• Effective verbal and written communication skillsand ability to present information clearly and professionally tovarying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process
• Good organizational and time management skills and ability to beself-directed.
• Ability to demonstrate good judgement.

• Effectively uses the nursingprocess in the delivery of patient care.
• Assesses learning needsand implement teaching strategies appropriate for the diverse needsof the patient, family and other groups or disciplines.
• Communicates, delegates, and manages nursing team resources (humanand fiscal) properly and serves as a leader and partner on theinterdisciplinary team.
• Utilizes data, information, and knowledgeto evaluate and promote change in order to achieve optimaloutcomes.
• Embraces concepts and behaviors that enhance customersatisfaction and employee morale and improvement in the professionof nursing.
• Adapts behavior to the specific patient population,including but not limited to respect for privacy, method ofintroduction to the patient, adapting explanation of services orprocedures to be performed, requesting permissions andcommunication style.
• Performs other related duties as required.
