- This position has a start date in Fall 2024.
- Our Labor and Delivery Unit was designed exclusively for new moms and babies.
Woman’s has delivered more than 320,000 babies since our inception in 1968, but we still treat every birth as unique and special. Our patient rooms, designed by nurses, offer a home-like setting along with the assurance of having the most advanced technology available. A typical obstetrical patient includes antepartum, observation, outpatient testing, circulating cesarean deliveries, triage and laboring patients who are minimal to high-risk.
Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited school of registered nursing is required Current licensure by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing is required Experience and/or certification in the area preferred, but not necessary July/August graduates are welcome to apply Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to: Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized interdisciplinary plans of care for the laboring and non-laboring OB patient. Utilize evidence-based best maternity and infant care practices, critical thinking, and sound judgment in the provision of patient care. Provide education and emotional support that is appropriate to the patient’s age, culture, condition, and unique needs/circumstances. Coordinates treatment plans; develops/implements discharge and/or transfer plans. Direct/coordinate nursing care in accordance with professional nursing practice standards. Performs other duties assigned by Department management according to policies and procedures and the mission of Woman’s Hospital.

Full-time Nights; 7 PM to 7
