The ideal candidate will provide exceptional care to expectant mothers during labor and delivery and beyond, ensuring a safe and positive experience for both mother and baby. This role requires strong clinical skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and excellent communication skills to support patients and their families. Duties Monitor the health and progress of laboring patients, including fetal heart rate and maternal vital signs. Provide education and support to patients regarding labor processes, pain management options, and post-delivery care. Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans. Assist in the delivery process, ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques and safety protocols. Document all patient interactions accurately in medical records, adhering to ICD-10 coding standards. Provide post-delivery care for mothers and newborns, including assessments and education on breastfeeding and infant care. Participate in ongoing training related to labor and delivery practices, including advancements in esthetic laser treatment if applicable. Experience Candidates should possess the following qualifications: Current nursing license with experience in labor and delivery or maternal-child health preferred. Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus. Knowledge of primary care principles as they relate to obstetric patients. Experience with cardiac catheterization or laboratory procedures is beneficial but not required. Strong understanding of medical records management practices. Requirements
