Oncology RNs review healthhistory and keep track of laboratory, pathology, and imagingstudies. Oncology RN job responsibilities include, but are notlimited to:
- Oncology RNs administer medications, fluids, andcancer treatments such as chemotherapy
- Collaborate with doctorsand other clinicians about treatment plans to create individualizedcare plans on patients under their supervision and care
- Educatepatients on the disease, proposed treatment plan and possible sideeffects
- Recognize and treat cancer-related issues
- Requires atleast 3 years of RN Med/Oncology experience
