• Progressive Care Unit RNs(PCU RNs) care for patients who need close monitoring and frequentassessment but aren’t unstable enough to require ICU care. PCU RNsuse computer equipment to monitor cardiac and other vitalinformation. PCU RN job responsibilities include, but are notlimited to:

• Responsibilities:

• PCU RN records patients medicalinformation and vital signs
• Prepare equipment and assist physicianduring examination and treatment of patient
• Monitor and adjustspecialized equipment used on patients and interpret electronicdisplays to help guide treatment
• Requires 2 years recent CardiacStepdown RN experience
