This job acts aleader in the provision of patient care using the nursing processwithin the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nursesand Scope & Standards of Practice. Effectively delegates, directs,and assists licensed and ancillary team members; assumesaccountability for quality patient outcomes; exhibits sensitivityto cultural, ethnic and religious diversity in all interactions;maintains involvement in activities aimed toward the achievement ofunit and the department’s strategic goals and objectives anddemonstrates professional responsibility and accountability forhis/her own practice and supports the company’s philosophy ofnursing. - Registered nurse diploma. Preferred
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing. Work Experience Required

- Current registered nurse (RN)license in state of practice. Current Basic Life Support (BLS)certification from the American Heart Association. Preferred
- Certification in clinical specialty area. Knowledge Skills andAbilities (KSAs)
- Strong organizational skills and ability to bedetailed oriented.
- Good time management skills and ability to bework in a fast paced environment and be self-directed.
- Goodinterpersonal, leadership, and delegation skills and ability todemonstrate good judgement and supervise or manage others.
- Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-basedapplications. Job Duties
- Effectively uses the nursing process inthe delivery of patient care.
- Assesses learning needs andimplements teaching strategies appropriate for the diverse needs ofthe patient, family, and other groups or disciplines.
- Communicates, delegates, and manages nursing team resources (humanand fiscal) properly and serves as a leader and partner on theinterdisciplinary team.
- Uses data, information, and knowledge toevaluate and promote change in order to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Embraces concepts and behaviors that enhance customer satisfactionand employee morale and improvement in the profession of nursing.
- Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including butnot limited to respect for privacy, method of introduction to thepatient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to beperformed, requesting permissions and communication style.
