This job acts as aleader in the provision of patient care using the nursing processwithin the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nursesand Scope & Standards of Practice. Effectively delegates, directs,and assists licensed and ancillary team members; assumesaccountability for quality patient outcomes; exhibits sensitivityto cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity in all interactions;maintains involvement in activities aimed toward the achievement ofunit and the department’s strategic goals and objectives anddemonstrates professional responsibility and accountability forhis/her own practice and supports the company’s philosophy ofnursing. Education Required

• Graduate of an accredited school ofnursing. Preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing. CertificationsRequired
• Current registered nurse (RN) license in state ofpractice. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from theAmerican Heart Association. Preferred
• Certification in clinicalspecialty area. Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
• Proficiencyin using computers, software, and web-based applications.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability topresent information clearly and professionally to varying levels ofindividuals throughout the patient care process.
• Excellentorganizational and time management skills. Job Duties
• Effectivelyuses the nursing process in the delivery of patient care.
• Assesses learning needs and implements teaching strategiesappropriate for the diverse needs of the patient, family and othergroups or disciplines.
• Communicates, delegates, and managesnursing team resources (human and fiscal) properly and serves as aleader and partner on the interdisciplinary team.
• Uses data,information, and knowledge to evaluate and promote change in orderto achieve optimal outcomes.
• Embraces concepts and behaviors thatenhance customer satisfaction and employee morale and improvementin the profession of nursing.
• Adapts behavior to the specificpatient population, including but not limited to respect forprivacy, method of introduction to the patient, adaptingexplanation of services or procedures to be performed, requestingpermissions and communication style.
