$15,000.00 Sign-on Bonus available! Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing processin accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
Reports to:
Director Emergency Services and Med Surg Performs plan of care intervention, including medicationadministration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as wellas other medical care treatment. Drag Edit Delete Documents patient care given. Drag Edit Delete Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition asappropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family. Drag EditDelete Assists patients with performing activities of daily living,including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
Drag Edit Delete Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patientcare, including patient transfer, discharge, referral andspiritual/psychosocial support needs. Drag Edit Delete Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and providespatient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition,and circumstances. Drag Edit Delete Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being ofthe patient. Drag Edit Delete Observes central monitor screens, interprets, recognizes andrecords changes in patient’s rhythms and notifies nurse asappropriate. Drag Edit Delete Handle with Care participation annually or CPI participation every2 years.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education Associate Degree, Bachelor Degree or RN Diploma required Drag EditDelete Required Skills Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and theability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in astressful environment and take appropriate action.
Drag EditDelete Required Skills American Heart Association or American Red Cross Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within 90 days ofemployment if not current upon hire, Advanced Cardiovascular LifeSupport (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) requiredwithin 6 months of employment. Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) required within 6 months ofemployment TNCC and ENPC certifications preferred
