• Legacy Meridian Park Medical Centeris the South metro area’s full-service medical center, with thefriendly feel of a community hospital and the skill and services ofa much larger medical center.

Among our specialties:

stroke, chestpain, minimally invasive and robotic surgery, cancer care,orthopedic and total joint surgery and a birth center and breasthealth center.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for patient carewithin an assigned department/unit and participates as a member ofthe health care team in cooperation with and under the direction ofthe clinical manager or designee as defined by the relevantStandards and Scope of Practice for the Registered Nurse. The RNStaff Nurse assesses, analyzes, plans, implements and evaluatespatient care following established patient care standards forLegacy Health System including those for patient assessment andtransfer.

Qualifications:

Education:

• As required by licensure.
• BSN or degree in progress strongly preferred. BSN may be requiredfor specific assignments; experienced RNs without a BSN may behired based on clinical experience with approval of the site CNO

• Experience:

  One-year registered nursing experience or completionof either the Legacy Health RN Residency program or a nursingprogram that is equivalent in content, curriculum and duration.

• Additional clinical experience requirements may vary dependent uponthe specific department in which the position is utilized.

Currentacute care hospital experience, ambulatory surgery/procedurepre-op/post-op experience preferred; recovery and dischargeexperience preferred.

• Knowledge/Skills:

• Demonstrated ability of positive interpersonal andcommunication skills with colleagues, patients, families,physicians and the community.
• Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systemsapplicable to job functions.
