Facility in Lafayette, IN Job Details Fusion Medical Staffing isseeking a skilled Hospice RN for a 13 week travel assignment inLafayette, IN. Required Qualifications:

One year of recent experience as an RN, including a minimum ofsix months in a Hospice Setting as an RN Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations BLS certification (AHA/ARC)

Preferred Qualifications:

Other certifications and licenses may be required for thisposition

Summary:

A Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) providescompassionate, end-of-life care to patients in their homes orhospice settings, focusing on comfort, pain management, andemotional support. Hospice RNs assess patient needs, coordinatecare plans, and educate families to ensure patients experiencedignity and peace in their final stages. They collaborate withinterdisciplinary teams to provide holistic care while upholdinghospice philosophy and regulatory standards.

Essential WorkFunctions:

Assess patient needs and develop individualized hospice careplans in collaboration with physicians and care teams Administer pain management interventions, medications, andtreatments to ensure patient comfort Educate and support families and caregivers, helping themunderstand symptom management and end-of-life care Monitor changes in patient condition, adjusting interventionsto maintain quality of life Coordinate care with hospice physicians, social workers,chaplains, and other team members to provide holistic support Document all care provided, symptom changes, and familyinteractions accurately and in compliance with hospiceregulations Ensure adherence to hospice best practices, safety protocols,and regulatory requirements Offer emotional and psychological support to both patients andtheir loved ones during the end-of-life journey Communicate regularly with the hospice care team to ensurecontinuous, compassionate care Strong ability to complete charting and documentationrequirements while meeting visit and productivity goals Adhere to infection control, safety, and healthcareregulations Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice

Required Essential Skills:

Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonalcommunication skills The ability to read, write, & communicate in the Englishlanguage is required Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbalinstructions, and proficiency in PC skills Physical Abilities

  • Remain in a stationary position, moveabout, move equipment (50-100lbs), pushing, pulling, bending Interpersonal Skills
  • To work effectively with a variety ofpersonnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positiveattitude and professionalism Technical/Motor Skills
  • Ability to grasp, fine manipulation,pushing/pulling and able to move about when assisting withprocedures and/or using department equipment. Mental Requirements
  • Must be able to cope with frequentcontact with the general public, customers, and meeting deadlinesunder pressure. Must be able to work under close supervisionoccasionally as well as working without assistance from otherpersonnel.
