This job is considered a leader in the provision ofpatient care utilizing the Nursing Process within the framework ofthe Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses and Scope & Standardsof Practice. The RN effectively delegates, directs and assistslicensed and ancillary team members; assumes accountability forquality patient outcomes; exhibits sensitivity to cultural, ethnicand religious diversity in all interactions; maintains involvementin activities aimed toward the achievement of unit and thedepartment’s strategic goals and objectives and demonstratesprofessional responsibility and accountability for his/her ownpractice and supports the company’s philosophy of nursing.

Education Required

• Registered Nurse Diploma Preferred
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing Work ExperienceRequired
• None Certifications Required
• Current RN License in thestate of practice Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationfrom the American Heart Association Preferred
• Certification inclinical specialty area Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
• Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry andretrieval of patient information.
• Must be proficient withWindows-style applications, various software packages specific torole and keyboard.
• Effective verbal and written communicationskills and the ability to present information clearly andprofessionally to varying levels of individuals throughout thepatient care process.
• Excellent organizational skills.

• Effectively uses theNursing Process in the delivery of patient care.
• Assesseslearning needs and implement teaching strategies appropriate forthe diverse needs of the patient, family and other groups ordisciplines.
• Communicates, delegates and manages nursing teamresources (human and fiscal) properly and serves as a leader andpartner on the Interdisciplinary Team.
• Utilizes data, informationand knowledge to evaluate and promote change in order to achieveoptimal outcomes.
• Embraces concepts and behaviors that enhancecustomer satisfaction and employee morale and improvement in theprofession of nursing.
• Other related duties as required.
