Resources for Human Development – 3.3 New Orleans, LA Job Details Full-time $85,000 a year 1 day ago Qualifications Working with people with developmental disabilities Medication administration RN License Working with people with disabilities Mid-level Driver’s License IDS Human resources Bachelor of Science in Nursing Communication skills Editing Time management Full Job Description The Registered Nurse (RN) position works closely with designated care teams which may include Counselors, Therapists, Case Managers, Direct Support Professionals, Physicians/Psychiatrists and program administrators to plan and implement care, including patient education, care management, triage, medication reconciliation and other duties. Section 3: Major Responsibilities Direct Care Administer medication as prescribed by the physician of record to all consumers within the program(s) to which they are assigned. Obtain accurate vital statistics (height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respirations, etc.) for purposes of effective treatment. Assess and respond to new/potential/ ongoing health issues in persons served. Administrative Act as part of a multidisciplinary team designed to provide services from a holistic and Values based perspective. Manage the ordering, delivery, and storage of medications for the people served in accordance with the specific program or service. Complete documentation as required by RHD, funder/licensing/accreditation bodies. Training and Development Provide education to both people served and staff regarding common health concerns. Provide training to staff as required/requested in order to best meet the needs of people served. All other duties as assigned Section 6: Job Qualifications and Competencies Job Qualifications Current license to practice in the state of operation

Education and Experience:

A graduate of a school of professional Nursing (AD, hospital, or BSN); BSN preferred.

Ability to recognize when something is wrong, or is likely to go wrong, and take the necessary actions to prevent or mitigate the problem. Demonstrates sound judgment by gathering and analyzing information skillfully and taking appropriate and timely actions regarding questionable findings or concerns. Facilitates organizational change as it relates to IDS and the use of data; has the ability to understand, relate with, and adapt to different cultural settings; and demonstrates good judgement and maturity.

Vehicle Requirements Current driver’s license, vehicle registration and vehicle insurance Vehicle / wheelchair lifts Adaptive Equipment Business use of company equipment to include; telephone, cellular telephone, and home appliances and furnishings
